WFG paid out over or close to I believe a billion dollars in commissions to the field, more than Goldman Sachs numbers, I think they had somewhere around 50k agents at the time at their 7,000 offices nationwide. I think it was back in 2019, the source is on YouTube, when Grant Cardone met with Ed Mylett. But our mission is no family left behind. I don't want to go into specifics exactly about product terminology and conceptualizations. Look man, we used to say this over and over again, Primerica? We like to call them our little brother. I'll tell you this, a pyramid scheme means players at the top are making all the money and the ones at the bottom aren't making any. It was called World Financial Group, I drank the kool-aid. I was parked outside of a liquor store, he asked if I had any weed for sale, then proceeded to tell me about this business opportunity. So back when I was 19, I was a huge business mogul already in the space in the NorCal area and I met my best friend's really good friend from HS, who I always thought was kind of weird. This episode of Last Week Tonight will tell you why you probably want to avoid any MLM. I ran into the guy who tried to get me into it working at a mall kiosk selling phones to make extra money, which was all I needed to know. I've known exactly one person who did primerica and was successful. I don't remember if there are specific goals you need to meet, but I vaguely remember that they did want you to talk to so many people per week/month. You will be tasked with finding your own leads, contacting people, etc. They want you to believe that you are passing along the secret to financial freedom as opposed to trying to sell a product. They'll suggest people you know at first like friends and family. If you do sign up, They're going to ask you to come up with a list of people that you can put through one of these presentations. For example, "if you had car problems and needed to find $200, you would be able to, wouldn't you?" (I don't know how much they're charging people now) They will have counters to most excuses you have about not immediately handing over money. They will then try to convince you how easy it is to just get 4 people to join under you, earning you passive income.Īt the end, if you're not sold, or if you tell them you want to think about it, they are going to try their hardest to convince you to pull the trigger on this is a once in a lifetime opportunity with an expiration date. After coming up with the inflated number, they are going to tell you how unrealistic meeting those goals will be working a traditional 9-5, which is why you need to sign up yesterday. They will ask you about your finances, your dreams, and goals and then put a price on those things. They're going to tell you things like how skipping Starbucks and investing that money will make you an eventual millionaire. They're going to sit you down with someone who is going to oversimplify some aspect of finance and end it with "now know more about _ than x% of people". They will try dissuade you from thinking of it as a ridiculous amount of money to pay a stranger for an opportunity to work for them, but rather as an investment into "your business". They're going to try and convince you that the fee they are requesting you to pay for them to train you is a necessity. There is probably going to be someone claiming to be a multimillionaire telling you a story about how they were going through a struggle, but through primerica they managed pulled themself up by their bootstraps and now they make so much money. People are going to be acting crazy excited and cheering and stuff. They're basically going to invite you to a meeting which is essentially a primerica pep rally. At a quick glance, someone will make it sound like you're just going to be selling insurance or financial advice.
